PourPlan Rating How it works
Tasting Fee (20%)
The winery charges a $20 tasting fee, which is refundable with a purchase of $30 or more, typically equivalent to buying one bottle of wine. This fee covers a tasting experience of six different pours. The requirement to commit to a purchase before tasting may seem a bit restrictive, but it ensures you get to sample a variety of their offerings before making a decision.
Wine Value (20%)
The winery offers wines that are priced as expected, providing a solid and reliable choice for visitors. Although there are no standout bargains, the consistent quality across the portfolio ensures good value for money. Visitors can expect well-rated wines that justify their price points, making it a dependable destination for those seeking high-quality, reasonably priced options.

This combination of critical acclaim and personal tasting impressions highlights the winery's commitment to producing exceptional dry wines.
Vibe (15%)
The winery offers a distinctive and inviting atmosphere, with its open layout allowing visitors to enjoy the proximity to the production facility. Five pinball machines add a playful element, complementing the energetic vibe created by electric guitars displayed throughout the space. This unique setting is enhanced by the constant backdrop of classic rock music, making it a cool and lively destination for wine enthusiasts.
Setting (10%)
Gorman Winery is located in an industrial building next to a busy road in Maltby, which might not immediately evoke the traditional vineyard charm. The setting is primarily characterized by metal warehouse structures typical of an industrial strip. However, the winery has made efforts to enhance its entrance with a modern facade and minimal landscaping, giving it a slightly more inviting appearance. Despite these improvements, the overall ambiance remains functional and industrial.
Parking (5%)
The winery boasts a generously sized parking lot located conveniently right in front of the entrance, making it easy for visitors to access the venue. On a typical visit, such as a Sunday, the lot is not busy, ensuring ample parking availability. Although the lot includes approximately 20 spaces shared with neighboring businesses, the proximity to the building ensures a short and straightforward walk to the entrance. Visitors should note that availability might be tighter during peak hours, but overall, parking logistics are straightforward and accommodating.
